One of the simplest ways is drinking. No kidding! The more you drink the more you speak. The more you drink the more you understand. Have you ever wondered why the Germans and Dutch are so good at learning English? And the Italians and Japanese so bad? Genetics. After two pints the average Italian is under the table.
As a rough guide, it can take two or three pints to start speaking another language (when you are still a beginner) and five or eight to understand the replies (that’s a bit harder).
This tried and tested technique can cut learning time by half. Hic!
