One of the best places to improve your English is the Pub (forget the school). Find a lonely pub and chat with the barman. There are many half empty pubs now where the barman hasn’t a lot to do but chat with his very occasional customer. Or find a crowded pub and drink liquid medicine (lager, ale, Scotch) until your English rises to the level needed.
